Bremelanotide Marketing partner
07.22.06 (4:59 am)   [edit]

Palatin formed a strategic alliance with King Pharmaceuticals (NYSE:KG) to jointly develop and commercialize Bremelanotide.
King’s large primary care/cardiovascular-focus ed sales force makes King an ideal partner for Palatin and Bremelanotide. Palatin will have responsibility for preclinical and clinical development and manufacturing, and will have the right to co-promote Bremelanotide to the urology specialty market. The two companies will jointly seek a marketing partner outside the U.S. The collaboration is potentially worth $250M in milestone payments to Palatin and includes profit sharing on a worldwide basis.

Bremolanotide Drug Boosts Women's Libido, Company Says
07.10.06 (1:08 pm)   [edit]

FORT LEE, N.J. May 19 (AP) A New Jersey drug company says an inhaler it's working on could be the long-sought female version of Viagra.
It says it has had encouraging results in both men and women with Bremolanotide (breem-oh-LAN'-oh-tyd), which stimulates the brain, rather than the genitals.
The company's director of preclinical development says it may help women who lack desire and have trouble getting aroused.
She says it works differently from Viagra and other drugs, which increases blood flow to the genitals.
They facililate sexual arousal, Annette Shadiack reports. "Bremolanotide initiates sexual arousal."
